Blogging for Business – Join The Stream

Last week’s Twitter hoax may not be the best example. Yes, it stole the spotlight but it gave social media a bad rap.  And it lowered the Dow Jones Industrial average by 150 points — falsely.

There are other ways to get your business noticed. Blogging to get attention is the way to go.  Research from Hubspot indicates that companies that increase blogging from three to five times per month almost double their leads. And if you want to take it up a couple of notches, companies that blog 15 or more times per month get five times more traffic than companies that don’t blog at all.

Of course, it goes without saying that the content has to be effective. Smart posts need time, research, a strategy, attention to detail etc.,  but it’s crucial for your business success. Let’s take The Staffing Stream as an example.

By writing for The Staffing Stream, buyers and suppliers of staffing services become part of the community. By writing blog posts and reading and commenting on others’ posts, you are hobnobbing with the best and brightest of the staffing industry, getting access to their wisdom and their opinions. You know what your counterparts in other companies are thinking and doing. It can inform you of the trends and the problems that lie ahead so one can get prepared.

And you can be a part of the industry by influencing the rhetoric. A writer may catch your eye as a potential hire or you might grab the attention of a CEO browsing the content. So please send us your contributions. You can email them to me directly at ssriram@staffingindustry.com.  Our editorial team views and edits all submissions.
