Staffing Industry Analysts Releases Annual List

Mountain View, Calif. – October 16, 2013 - Staffing Industry Analysts, the leading global advisor on contingent work, announced the 2013 list of largest global staffing firms. Adecco topped the list for the sixth year in a row with €20.5 billion in revenue, followed by Randstad with €17.0 billion and ManpowerGroup with €16.0 billion. The top three firms finished in the same order in 2012 and represent a combined market share of 17%.

The 119 firms that made the list had annual revenues in access of €233 million and represent 45% of the market. The U.S. had the largest number of staffing firms on the list with 49, followed by the U.K. with 21 and Japan with 11.

Staffing Industry Analysts estimates the global staffing market to be worth approximately €324 billion. The firms on the list had total revenues of €147 billion in 2012, representing almost half of total global revenues.

The five largest global staffing companies are:

“Staffing remains a highly fragmented industry,” said John Nurthen, Staffing Industry Analysts’ executive director, international development. “Other than the top 10 firms on the list, no company has more than a 1% global market share. Our 2013 list also included 17 new companies, and nine companies from 2012 dropped off the list.”
