Criteria and Accuracy of the Top 100 List

Staffing Industry Analysts’ Top 100 Most Influential People in European Staffing includes those that have helped to shape the development of a market estimated to be worth €106 billion in 2012. The list is in alphabetical order (by surname).

What have been the criteria for inclusion in the list?

Objective financial criteria have been used in many instances – what European staffing revenue is the person directly responsible for and are they ultimately responsible for this revenue or do they report to a more senior executive? Of course, influence comes in a number of forms and money isn’t the only factor. A number of the people on the list have played an important role in developing the European staffing market by way of influence over legislation (hence the inclusion of a number of staffing association personnel and union officials) or in more indirect ways. We have focused on current and active influence rather than past influence though many in the list have had a very important role to play in the creation of the modern industry.

Is the list 100% accurate?

Well, we have endeavored to be completely objective and rational and also done our best to include all the major influencers. But it is not inconceivable that we may have overlooked a worthy entrant.
