Introduction
- One of the major challenges facing staffing executives and contingent workforce program managers is ensuring that a common language is used when conducting contingent workforce-related business. To help alleviate the issue, the following lexicon suggests a set of "working definitions" for contingent workforce management.
- Included in this Lexicon is also international terminology used in the contingent workforce industry. The majority of terms are generic in nature and can be applied equally in North America or Europe; however, some terms are more regional in nature and we indicate which these are with an identifying icon.
- Although this is not meant to be an exhaustive dictionary of accounting and legal terms, we have included a number of such terms where they are particularly relevant to the staffing and HR audiences.
