IT staffing providers make acquisitions

Diversant buys Bay Area IT staffing provider Vircon

Diversant LLC, a New Jersey-based IT staffing provider, acquired Vircon, a San Francisco Bay Area technology solutions and staffing organization.

The transaction closed Aug. 1; terms were not disclosed.

Vircon will now operate under the Diversant brand, and key staff members will remain with the company.

“The combined company enables the organization to continue to execute on its strategy and to be a national player in the IT staffing space, growing organically as well as through strategic business acquisitions,” said Diversant Chairman John Goullet. “Vircon’s senior associates have developed deep, meaningful relationships at some of the industry’s most coveted clients, and we are truly excited to have them as an integral part of the Diversant team.”

Vircon reports $25 million in annual revenue and has offices in San Francisco and Charlotte, NC.

“This merging of resources represents an integration of expertise for two major IT staffing firms and positions Diversant to have a stronger presence in the United States,” said Diversant CEO Gene Waddy. “This milestone speaks to Diversant’s ability to invest and grow the organization while continuing to deliver exceptional customer service to clients, staff and partners nationwide.”

Diversant is listed on Staffing Industry Analysts' lists of fastest-growing and diversity staffing firms.

Valintry acquires IT staffing division

Valintry Services LLC, an IT staffing and consulting services provider headquartered in the Orlando, Fla., market, acquired the recruiting division of Orlando-based PaperBoat Media LLC, a regional IT recruiting and consulting firm. The acquisition expands Valintry’s offerings, adds staff and enhances its business processes.

The transaction closed in early August; terms were not disclosed.

The acquired recruiting division will operate under the Valintry brand. PaperBoat Media will still operate as an independent digital marketing business under its own brand, but both firms have plans for collaboration and innovation sharing as an outcome of the recruitment acquisition.

PaperBoat VP Timmy Rupeiks will join Valintry as senior VP of sales – Southeast. PaperBoat Media President and CEO Robert Urban will retain his role at PaperBoat post-acquisition but also serve in a consultant role at Valintry, focusing on sales growth and new product innovation.

“PaperBoat Media has built strong relationships with multiple clients and has positioned themselves as an expert not only in traditional IT consulting, but also understanding and recruiting talent to support, big data, ERP and marketing IT,” said Valintry President Joe Parris. “Marketing IT is the convergence point where digital and marketing technical skills overlap. These unique skills, combined with our common values in how we build client/partner relationships made this an easy decision. PaperBoat uses technology and their expertise in digital marketing to find the most difficult to source talent resources. This acquisition accelerates our goal of becoming the company of choice for clients wishing to work with a partner to help fulfill their IT consulting and IT staffing needs.”

Valintry operates three offices: Orlando, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; and Dallas. It was founded in July 2013 and conducts business in 11 states.

Valintry plans to open two to three field sales offices in each of the next five years, increasing the firm’s revenue to more than $40 million by 2021. Valintry counts 14 full-time staff members in the Orlando corporate office, which will continue to serve as its recruitment and support services hub as the firm grows.
