IT staffing M&A: The JM Group, ettain, Tiger Information Systems

IT staffing firm merger and acquisition activity in the past month includes Staffing 360 Solutions Inc.’s (NASD: STAF) acquisition of The JM Group, ettain group’s acquisition of Timberhorn IT Solutions and Chartwell Staffing Solutions’ acquisition of Tiger Information Systems:

  • Staffing 360 Solutions acquired The JM Group, a London-based IT staffing firm. Founded in 1981, The JM Group targets the financial services, professional services and corporate sectors in the United Kingdom. The JM Group, which reports a run-rate of approximately $25 million in annualized revenue, will retain its brand name.
  • IT staffing provider ettain group acquired Timberhorn IT Solutions, an IT staffing company in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The transaction grows ettain’s presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and enhances strategic support of several national customers. The Charlotte, NC-headquartered firm also hopes to take advantage of the Dallas-Fort Worth region’s strong business climate. The acquisition adds 160 employees and contractors to ettain group’s current 1,200 employees and contractors.
  • Chartwell Staffing Solutions, a staffing provider based in Lancaster, Penn., acquired New York City-based Tiger Information Systems. The Tiger acquisition adds IT, legal and creative staffing as well as IT training and project services to Chartwell’s New York City offerings. Chartwell now has two New York offices that have served the following clients: Bank of New York Mellon, Citigroup, J.P. Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo.
