Bridge Technical Talent, an information technology staffing provider based in Rhode Island, completed its first acquisition with the purchase of BPS Becker Professional Search Inc., which also serves the technology sector. The deal closed May 31 and terms were not disclosed.

The purchase expands Bridge’s contract IT staffing division and provides Bridge with new Massachusetts clients to complement its base of New England and national contract staffing accounts.

BPS Becker, located in Providence, R.I., is transitioning to the Bridge brand and its office will eventually close. Bridge already has two Rhode Island locations as well as plans for a new office southwest of Boston.

Bridge plans continued organic growth as well as additional acquisitions.
