The salary ranges reflect regional differences in salaries, with New York City and San Francisco on the high end and Florida and Dallas on the low end.

The report found the technology skills/positions in biggest demand are:

  • Network security analysts
  • Cloud engineers
  • DevOps leads/engineers
  • UI/UX designers
  • Data scientists

“The future outlook for the IT workforce is extremely bright,” said Laura McGarrity, VP of digital marketing strategy for Mondo. “Those technology professionals that are business-minded, analytical/strategic and multi-faceted are in the biggest demand.”

McGarrity added: “the next steps for continual progress in the tech industry will be beyond the platforms, software and systems and will be to diversify its workforce breaking down the walls of gender and racial divide. Today, women currently hold only slightly more than 25% of the technology positions in the United States.”

The Mondo salary guide is based on 3,500 Mondo placements over the past year, in New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Denver, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Ft. Lauderdale.
