IT staffing mergers and acquisitions over past month

ArtechInformation Systems LLC, a multi-national staffing and professional services firm, acquired Vega Consulting LLC of Bellevue, Wash. Vega provides consulting and staff augmentation services primarily to large, publicly-traded organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Vega will continue to operate under the Vega brand and with the same management team. The transaction closed in June; terms were not announced.

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions acquired Actium Consulting, a management consulting firm that provides project-driven IT staffing and consulting services, in a deal that close July 1. Terms of the transaction were not announced. Sacramento, Calif.-based Actium posted revenue of $20 million in 2013, according to press announcements. It operates in California and five other states. The Actium brand will remain, and no changes are planned to its current management team.

The Judge Group acquired Keystream Inc., a Toronto-based provider of IT staffing in the Canadian market. Keystream has been a vendor of record to the Ontario government since 1998. It will now operate out of Judge’s existing Toronto offices as a division of Judge International Canada. The Keystream brand will remain at this time. “This acquisition strengthens our position in the Canadian market, continuing the high quality of service set by Keystream, now backed by Judge’s superior reputation in the staffing industry,” said Nicholas Allard, director of Canadian operations.

Texas-based executive recruitment firm HireBetter acquired bkoAustin, an Austin, Texas-based firm that provides chief financial officers and chief information officers on an interim or project basis. The transaction closed July 1; terms were not announced. The bkoAustin brand will merge into HireBetter and specifically drive its interim services division. bkoAustin President Brian O'Neil will remain with HireBetter as vice president of interim services.
