Candidates in healthcare favor Florida and Texas in October

Florida and Texas were the top states for healthcare professionals in terms of job interest, according to October’s candidate blueprint index released by StaffDNA, a Dallas-based firm that compiles and distributes resume and employment data on healthcare professionals.

For October, the firm said 11 percent of candidates for healthcare professional roles in its system were interested in positions in Florida. Another 8 percent cited Texas. It was followed by Tennessee at 7 percent and California at 6 percent.

The types of jobs receiving the most interest included permanent, 33 percent; local contracts, 23 percent; per diem, 23 percent; and travel/temporary, 21 percent.
