Maxim Healthcare names president, CFO, VP of national sales

Maxim Healthcare Services Inc. named William “Bill” Butz as its president and announced Raymond Carbone will replace Butz as CFO. The fifth-largest healthcare staffing firm in the U.S. also appointed Jeremy Goldberg as vice president of national sales.

Butz joined Columbia, Md.-based Maxim as CFO in 2012 after serving as president of Erickson Living, an operator of retirement communities. The chairman of Erickson Living is Jim Davis, co-founder of the Allegis Group. Butz also formerly worked for Allegis Group for 15 years where he also held various financial leadership positions, including CFO of Aerotek, Allegis Group's largest operating company.

Carbone joined Maxim as vice president of finance shortly after Butz. Prior to Maxim, Carbone was the CFO for legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa, which was acquired by Allegis Group in 2008. And prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, he served as CFO of Stephen James Associates, an accounting and finance recruiting firm that is also part of the Allegis Group. He has also held a variety of financial and operational leadership roles with Allegis Group's Aerotek for more than 16 years.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Bill and Ray on our team,” said Maxim CEO Brad Bennett. “These are two leaders that share our passion for creating positive experiences for our caregivers, patients and customers and have made it a priority in every aspect of the work they do.”

Goldberg served in numerous leadership roles in his 12 years with the firm. Most recently, he was vice president of Maxim Staffing Solutions, overseeing Maxim's divisions including: Maxim Physician Resources, Timeline Recruiting, TravelMax, Reflectx Services and Logix Healthcare Search Partners (Logix HSP).

“Jeremy’s appointment as vice president of national sales is instrumental in helping to effectively align Maxim’s business development and sales efforts at the national, regional and local level,” Bennett said.
