Jackson Healthcare acquires Michigan firm

Jackson Healthcare, the third-largest U.S. healthcare staffing firm, acquired Michigan-based Sullivan Healthcare Consulting. The transaction closed June 26; terms were not disclosed.

Sullivan Healthcare, a 40-year-old company, provides interim staffing as well as management and consulting services to hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers in the U.S. and Canada.

The Sullivan Healthcare brand and its executives, including President and CEO Randy Heiser, will remain.

“Randy Heiser and his team will be a complementary service offering to two of our existing operating companies, Premier Anesthesia and Jackson Surgical Assistants,” said Richard Jackson, chairman and CEO of Jackson Healthcare. “These three companies use an ‘evidence-based’ approach to improving the primary revenue generating department of hospitals. SHC brings with them an extensive benchmarking database which will allow hospital surgery departments to compare their performance with their peers.”

SHC is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich.
