Healthcare VMS provider MedAssets names new exec

MedAssets, a healthcare VMS provider, promoted Mike Nolte to president and chief operating officer. Nolte previously served as executive VP and COO.

“MedAssets has grown significantly over the last few years,” said Chairman and CEO John Bardis. “With more than $700 million in annual revenue and a client base of more than 4,400 acute care and 122,000 alternate site providers, elevating Mike’s role with our organization was a natural evolution of that growth.”

Nolte joined MedAssets in March 2012. Prior to that, he served as VP and general manager of the Americas Services business for GE Healthcare IT.

MedAssets provides spend management services for healthcare organizations, including its MedAssets Workforce Solutions VMS.
