Med-Call Healthcare buys Med Staff On-Call

Med-Call Healthcare, a healthcare staffing firm headquartered in Chicago, acquired competitor Med Staff On-Call.

The transaction closed Nov. 21; terms were not disclosed.

Med Staff On-Call has transitioned to the Med-Call Healthcare brand and Med-Call staff has taken over all operations.

Med Staff On-Call provided contract, per diem, travel and temp-to-perm nursing staffing to healthcare facilities throughout the Midwest since 2007. It served roughly 60 facilities from its Chicago location and had a database of about 7,800 healthcare professionals, booking about 2,700 shifts over the last year.

“We are extremely excited about this merger and look forward to expanding our offerings to meet the growing demand in today’s healthcare industry,” Med-Call CEO Healthcare Dave Hoke said. “Our goal is to provide the highest level of service and quality to our clients, and our new resources will help us exceed that goal.”

Med-Call Healthcare now serves almost 150 facilities.
