In our annual Contingent Buyers Survey for North America, we ask large companies (1,000+ employees) if VMS and/or MSP is currently in place in their organizations. We define an MSP as a managed services provider that helps a company run its contingent workforce program and a VMS (vendor management system) as the technology used to facilitate the management of such a program. Based on a three-year moving average, 71% of staffing industry clients now note the use of a VMS and 66% note the use of an MSP, both marking record penetration.
