Temp Conversion Fees in Europe

In our 2013 Contingent Buyer Survey for Europe, we asked respondents how much they pay the temporary staffing agency when a temporary worker is converted to a "permanent" assignment within the company. As expected, results varied by the duration of the temporary assignment at the time of conversion. At the one month mark, the median fee among respondents was 15 percent of the annual salary of the new, "permanent" job. The median was 10 percent and 0 percent at the three month and six month marks, respectively. Median percentages reported by European companies at the one, three and six month marks were the same as those reported by companies in North America.
