Job quality worsens. The quality of employment in Canada has worsened, largely because much of the recent growth in jobs has involved self-employment and lower-paying positions, according to a report by Benjamin Tal, deputy chief economist for CIBC World Markets. Read more here.

Recovery Roadblock. Employers looking to attract talent from afar may find that difficult to do, as struggling homeowners are hesitant to relocate because they are stuck with a too-large mortgage or simply can’t sell their homes, the Los Angeles Times reports.
