US-based global flexible workforce management firm Fieldglass, Inc. announced that the company achieved significant customer growth and industry recognition in 2013, its eighth consecutive year of profitability.
According to Fieldglass’ statement: “This success validates the company’s strategy, driven by its tenured management team that has guided its best-in-class Vendor Management System (VMS) technology and consultative services for the last 15 years.”
Companies are seeking additional opportunities to improve their programmes via category-specific supplier management practices and advanced analytics using data modelling and optimisation.
Fieldglass’ customers’ adoption of Statement of Work (SOW) grew by +80% in 2013, a trend that is expected to continue to grow in 2014. SOW agreements are usually billed based on a fixed price deliverable or for hitting a specific milestone, unlike traditional temporary or contingent work arrangements that are billed based on the number of hours worked.
Many customers are using the Fieldglass VMS to drive compliance with the European Union’s Agency Workers Directive and its country-specific interpretations. As the largest VMS provider in the major European Markets, according to research from Staffing Industry Analysts, Fieldglass has established a set of implementation best practices that are expected to drive higher VMS adoption, particularly in Western Europe.
