The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has published a new report on the role of private employment agencies in promoting decent work and improving the functioning of labour markets.
The report will serve as a reference document for the ILO Global Dialogue Forum on private employment agencies that will take place on 18 and 19 October 2011. More than 125 participants are expected from all around the world, representing governments, employers and workers.
The International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (Ciett) will be part of the employers delegation, with more than 40 members coming from 30 different countries. Ciett will call for appropriate regulation to be adopted worldwide for private employment services, constructive social dialogue to be developed with trade unions and for fighting against rogue agencies, which damage the reputation of the industry.
