World — Brazil holds World Employment Conference

19 May 2010

The annual World Employment Conference of the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (Ciett), will be held for the first time in Sao Paulo, Brazil between 26 and 28 May 2010.

The event will be organised jointly by the Brazilian Association of Temporary Employers (ASSERTEM) and the Sao Paulo Syndicate of Service Providers (SINDEPRESTEM). Attendees will include representatives from national staffing associations from around the world.

According to the conference organisers, Brazil is already the fourth largest staffing market in the world in terms of the number of agency workers - and growing. Last week it was announced that Robert Walters is the latest international staffing company to enter the Brazilian market.

Among the speakers at the Conference will be representatives from some of the world’s leading staffing companies as well as John Nurthen, General Manager, Europe for Staffing Industry Analysts, who will discuss what the temporary staffing market will look like in 2015.
