UK — Staffwise plc buys Cheshire Recruitment Services

22 September 2009

Stockport-based recruitment firm Cheshire Recruitment Services, which specialises in supplying staff to the logistics, technical and engineering sectors was yesterday bought by national group Staffwise in its latest move to boost its presence in the north west, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Cheshire Recruitment Services, founded by Barry Wilkson and Stuart Moffat in 2004, was acquired by Staffwise, which has an office in Warrington and last month swooped Match Recruitment of Preston, which was in administration.

Cheshire Recruitment Services was founded in 2004. The company turns over 1.1 million Pounds and supplies lorry drivers, industrial and warehouse staff and engineering workers to a range of blue-chip clients.

Staffwise boss Tom McMurray said, "Stuart and Barry (the two founders) are two good operators who, while remaining at the helm, will continue to drive forward the company. Cheshire Recruitment Services is an excellent addition to the Staffwise portfolio and is a great platform from which to expand further into the North West."
