Randstad has appointed NOW: Pensions to provide the pensions scheme for its 20,000 agency workers from March 2013. The staffing company has appointed NOW: Pensions to provide auto-enrolment services, following the launch of the auto-enrolment pension scheme in October 2012.
This gives employer new legal duties to automatically enrol certain workers into a qualifying workplace pension scheme. Up to 10 million people are expected to be eventually enrolled in what has been hailed as one of the biggest pension revolutions in recent years.
Ian Naylor, legal director of Randstad, said: “Our decision to appoint NOW: Pensions came as a result of wanting a quality workplace pension scheme that is structured, simple and easy for us to implement”.
NOW: Pensions provides pension products that deliver better retirement savings for UK employees and agency workers across all income brackets.
