On Friday, employment Minister Mark Hoban signed a partnership agreement between the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and Jobcentre Plus, which will provide help to jobseekers and employers in the UK.
“Ensuring that there is strong cooperation between public and private sector is crucial and has already delivered real progress over recent years,” said REC chief executive Kevin Green.
“As well as exchanging regular jobs market intelligence, the aim of the national level partnership agreement is to drive engagement on a local level between recruitment agencies and Jobcentre Plus. Our shared goal is to provide the best possible support and opportunities for jobseekers.”
The renewed agreement aims to help people into work by offering opportunities for training and jobs with both parties sharing their expertise to do so. It will provide guidance and support, as well as good practice standards to offer fair employment policies.
