Prodrill Energy Resource Solutions said recently that it had picked up a three-year contract to supply drilling and well-engineering staff to a French oil major according to the Aberdeen Journal. The countract is said to be worth about £5 million over the next year.
Managing Director, Louise Wood, said it would also result in Prodrill supplying people in up to a further six countries over the period, taking its overseas presence to 30 countries. The new deal follows a previous contract with the same firm and Ms Wood said it would boost revenue from the client by about 20%.
Ms Wood said “Taking a step back and looking at the climate overall, I am pleased to see that exploration and production remains strong, both here in the UK and internationally.”
Prodrill has only 14 staff, all operating out of its Aberdeen headquarters. The company was formed in 2009 through a £2.25 million management buyout of Granite City-based Sovereign Oilfield Group.
