Many high-tech pharmaceutical start-ups have sprung up in the North West of the country and are looking to add to their workforce, according to recruiter Hays Life Sciences. It found that the growth of these smaller firms will challenge established companies in attracting highly-skilled professionals.

Hays has identified some key trends, showing that large pharmaceutical companies are increasingly partnering with start-ups, increasing the competition between companies to secure the right skills for their business.
David Nixon, Director of Hays Life Sciences in Manchester, said that qualified pharma professionals with experience in regulatory affairs, bioscience and commercial acumen are in high demand.
