UK – ManpowerGroup wins major new contract

12 April 2013

ManpowerGroup UK has won a major three-year contract for a fully integrated resourcing solution across Europe for CSC, a provider of technology-enabled business solutions and services. The provision of personnel will be delivered by the firm’s Experis brand, a professional resourcing and project-based workforce solutions company to the IT sector.

The deal will include the provision of contingent and permanent staff, covering countries such as the UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark and Sweden. ManpowerGroup competed with 42 different companies to win the contract, which also involved a six-month formal tender process.

Experis will place 280 contract employees in the UK and another 150 outside the UK, on top of 300 permanent staff.

Geoff Smith, managing director of Experis UK and Ireland, said: “This is an exciting project, which really cements Experis’ position as the premier resourcing supplier to the IT Services sector in the UK. Experis focuses on accelerating organisations’ growth by intensively attracting, assessing and placing specialised expertise. This is at the heart of what we do and why we are delighted to be serving CSC.”

ManpowerGroup has recently come under pressure in Europe where it derives two-thirds of its sales. In January, the US recruiter warned of potential disruptions across major markets, following a slip in revenue during the fourth quarter.
