UK – HB Human Capital acquires Proactive Technical Recruitment

11 January 2012

Global executive search firm HB Human Capital has acquired Proactive Technical Recruitment, the specialist recruiter who serves a number of private sector markets for an undisclosed amount.

Established in 1999, with offices in both London and Egham, Proactive Technical Recruitment has developed in its chosen sectors: airports & automation, production & manufacturing, facilities & building services, operations & logistics, transport & diesel, and construction & steel.

Proactive Technical Recruitment becomes the ninth business within HB Human Capital, founded in 2007 by Tristan Ramus, its chairman, and backed by television personality James Caan's private equity firm Hamilton Bradshaw. Other members include Eden Brown, Resourcing Group and Caritas Recruitment.

Adam Herron, COO of HB Human Capital, commented "we have long admired Proactive's innovation, quality of service, and drive. I'm delighted with this acquisition, as while our public sector desks aim to grow by taking market share away from the competition, we believe there are good opportunities for growth in some private sector Technical markets. This move cements HB Human Capital as leader in a number of key markets, as well as bringing us into some new ones."

Clayton Dempster, MD of Proactive Technical Recruitment, said "the size and strength of HB Human Capital as an investment group, and their entrepreneurial culture, gives Proactive an exciting new platform from which to drive growth across the business."

Tristan Ramus said "this is another key milestone in the continued success and development of HB Human Capital's buy and build strategy, and is further testament to the quality of the team within all of the operating companies and the board of HB Human Capital."

Deal metrics were not made available.
