Outsourcing firm Capita (CPI:LSE) today provided an update on revenue growth for 2013, after the company last year recorded a +14% jump in revenue, driven by organic growth and contract wins in 2012.
In a message to shareholders, the firm said the business continued to perform well in 2013. “Capita has secured over £2.0 billion of major new and extended contracts to date in 2013,” the company said.
“Accordingly, it now expects to achieve greater than anticipated organic growth for the full year 2013 and currently has visibility of at least 8% organic revenue growth. This also means that Capita is now undertaking a record volume of new contract implementations and with their associated start- up costs in 2013.”
Last year, Capita signed a major contract to work in partnership with the armed forces to deliver the Recruiting Partnering Project (RPP). The contract is valued at around £44 million a year for a 10-year period with the RPP delivering the entire process for the attraction and recruitment of soldiers and officers to the Regular and Territorial Army.
Capita provides business process outsourcing solutions and professional support services to organisations across the public and private sectors.
