UK – Adzuna estimates online vacancy salaries

26 July 2013

Adzuna, the online recruitment search engine, has launched a new programme called ‘Jobsworth’, which has the ability to estimate salaried vacancies advertised online. The new programme is reportedly accurate to within 10% of the actual wage.

The site’s creators explained that only half of online job advertisements in the UK specify salary levels or ranges, making it more challenging for jobseekers to determine which jobs meet their expectations and requirements

The Jobsworth tool analyses more than 500,000 job adverts daily to understand current salary trends based on keywords, categories, and locations. It then produces an estimate usually within 10% of the actual wage.

Andrew Hunter, co-founder of Adzune, said: “We’re very happy with Adzuna’s progress over the last two years and [we are] well on course for our mission to change the way in which people find jobs. Data is a massive focus for our business and we believe arming people with the right kind of stats (like Jobsworth) for free, we will change classified search[es] for the better in the UK and beyond.”
