Recruitment giant Adecco Group UK & Ireland and the resourcing company The SJB Group have announced a strategic partnership designed to deliver senior and critical hire resourcing solutions in the IT and technology sectors, as well as into the health assessment and occupational health industries.
“The partnership between Adecco Group UK and The SJB Group is in response to customer demand: RPO has become more prevalent in large organisations to drive consistency of process and cost-effectiveness of recruitment. The two companies were already providing these managed recruitment services at their respective scales with very similar characteristics. The logical conclusion was to integrate the two as a single service offering to prospective clients, to maximise the benefits across business functions, across all staff grades and to ensure a common end-to-end service. The impact is that a client can be sure that all its recruitment needs can be fulfilled efficiently, taking into account direct, referral and externally supplied candidates to drive down cost per hire,” The SJB Group said to Staffing Industry Analyst.
Talks between Adecco Group UK and The SJB Group started in early 2012 and under the partnership, SJB will integrate its Critical Hire Outsource (CHOTM) service into existing Adecco Group services for established customers. The two companies will also jointly develop an integrated service offering to new customers.
SJB Group said that this partnership comes as a service innovation to satiate the senior level skills shortage in the market place. It is the first partnership of its size and speciality in the IT services industry in the UK and includes full cooperative partnership of industry specialists, both traditional and niche. The new partnership also aims to drive flexibility by adjusting the use of resources. Overall it also aims to save costs over existing recruitment practices in the supply chain.
Commenting on the new partnership, Peter Searle, CEO of Adecco Group UK & Ireland, said that “Major clients are increasingly demanding the flexibility to bolt on senior and critical hire services within a traditional outsourced recruitment model. This partnership will enable us to deliver an end-to-end recruitment service, utilising best of breed service offerings.”
Meanwhile Chris Pickford, executive chairman of The SJB Group added that “CHOTM is a well-established and proven offering and joining forces with Adecco Group will create a unique service in the recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) market. At present there are very few ‘off the shelf’ offerings that cover both volume and critical hire resourcing solutions. Our strategic partnership fills that gap”.
The SJB Group is a resourcing company that operates exclusively within the IT services, consultancy and technology sectors to source business critical talent at board level. CHOTM is at the core of their services and is defined by a template governance model and service level agreements with focus on attainment of key performance indicators such as: time to hire; cost per hire; direct fulfilment to budget; attrition level of fulfilled roles; management information.
SJB commented to Staffing Industry Analysts that the firm’s search process was proactive “in order to identify the candidates best matched to a senior role. Approximately 80% of individuals are passive candidates, that is, they are not actively looking or responding to advertised roles. These people are settled, well regarded and will only respond to a proactive approach if it is made in the right way but are often the best suited to the role in hand.”
