UK – APSCo promotes diversity in recruitment industry

The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) has launched a new initiative to help encourage diversity in recruitment. APSCo’s Diversity Commitment is a “public promise” by its member recruitment companies and supplier businesses, which includes big names like Adecco and Randstad, to improve diversity within their organisations and the wider staffing industry.

Members can now pledge their support for an inclusive industry and prove their commitment to the scheme by using APSCo’s Diversity Toolkit. Members who have signed up also have the option to publicise their commitment as an ‘APSCo Member Committed to Diversity’.  

Commenting on the initiative, APSCo Chief Executive Ann Swain said: “We know that our members are committed to supporting equal opportunities both internally and through external recruitment. APSCo’s Diversity Commitment will help to ensure that the consultancies we work with not only receive the practical support and guidance they need to actively encourage diversity, but that they are also recognised for their commitment.”

APSCo is a trade body representing the interests of the UK professional staffing industry. It promotes high standards of trading practices in the recruitment industry.
