The latest market figures published by the Association of Temporary Employers (ABU) for the four weeks ended 1 November 2009 reveal that the number of working hours carried out by temporary employees in The Netherlands have decreased by -22% compared to the same period in 2008.
The period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so there was no correction applied.
In the medical sector the number of hours worked by temporary employees were down by -9%. Turnover in this sector was down by -2%.
The number of hours worked in the administrative sector was down by -21%. Turnover was down by -19%.
In the industrial sector the number of hours worked was down by -21%. Turnover was down by -22%.
In the technical sector the number of hours worked decreased by -34%. Turnover fell by -32%.
