Johan Moller, 27, from Karlskrona was the unanimous selection for the Swedish Staffing Agencies Critics prize, which will be presented at the end of the month
According to Henrik Bäckström, Director of the Association of Staffing Agencies; “with a great sense of justice and stubbornness” Johan Möller improved conditions for tens of thousands of temporary employees. He did this by questioning, and then to run and winning a lawsuit against the current unemployment rules. The ruling he helped to achieve means that “staffing employees now finally have the right to unemployment benefits on the same terms as any others in the labour market. "
Johan Möller is a very worthy winner. A ‘regular guy’ who without any other driver than the right to be right has changed the conditions for industry employees said Bäckström.
“I'm a logical person, and I thought that the reasons why I would not get unemployment was illogical”, says Johan Möller, adding: “There was no rhyme or reason to the unemployment insurance fund behaviour, and I felt the need to question it.”
The Swedish Staffing Association has over 480 member companies, of which 400 are certified and others are start-ups
