Sweden – Staffing firms expect increased demand in Q1

More than half of Swedish staffing firms expect increased demand during the first quarter of 2014, according to the Employment Barometer from the Swedish Staffing Association (Bemanningsforetagen). Nearly half expect that demand will remain constant, while only 1% expects that demand will fall.

Compared with the fourth quarter of 2013, companies are more optimistic that demand will increase this quarter. Only 7% of staffing firms expect to have to reduce the number of workers, while 26% anticipate hiring more staff. The remainder of staffing firms do not think that their staff number will change this quarter.
