Sweden — Proffice acquires the Studentpoolen staffing business from TeliaSonera

11 November 2009

Proffice AB (PROEB:STO), the Scandinavian temporary and permanent staffing agency, today announces the acquisition of the Studentpoolen staffing business of TeliaSonera, the telecommunications firm.

Studentpoolen provides staffing for parts of TeliaSonera's customer services on the Swedish market, primarily at peak periods.

Simultaneously with the acquisition, the parties have signed a two-year framework agreement in respect of flexible staffing during periods of heavy workload in TeliaSonera's customer service operations within the business areas Mobile and Broadband. The agreement enables TeliaSonera to purchase staffing services for their customer service from Proffice.

Through the acquisition of Studentpoolen, Proffice becomes an important partner in TeliaSonera's customer services development in the Swedish market. TeliaSonera has the main part of its customer services under its own auspices, but is an important purchaser of staffing services. Therefore the agreement is of strategic importance for Proffice, both financially and structurally. Today, the business covers about 200 students, and all the employees in the business will be offered transfer to Proffice.

Speaking about the deal Lars Kry, CEO Proffice AB said " this strengthens the role of Proffice as a Nordic specialist in customer service staffing and customer service development,".

With the acquired business as a base, Proffice intends to present plans in the near future for greater emphasis on student staffing.

Martin am Zoll, Business Solution Manager at Proffice Sverige AB, says "the agreement imposes considerable demands on Proffice as a supplier. The combination of the acquisition of Studentpoolen, our specialisation in customer service and a new customer-orientated organisation, creates the best conditions for success in our cooperation with Telia Sonera."

The two-year framework agreement on staffing covers the Swedish market and will come into force on 1 December 2009. The parties have agreed not to make the purchase sum or the contracted volumes of staffing services public.
In early trading Proffice's shares were unchanged at 24.20 Swedish Kronor.
