Sweden – Poolia CEO resigns following criticism

27 June 2013

Beleaguered Poolia CEO, Monika Elling, has resigned with immediate effect, according to a press release issued by Poolia today. Ms Elling has recently been the focus of a newspaper article criticising her abilities and called into question her appointment as CEO of Poolia.

Poolia founder, chairman, and principle owner Bjӧrn Ӧrås said, “I respect Monika Elling’s decision because we on the Board feel that she does not have the confidence needed in the organisation to work continue working as CEO.”

Ms Elling was criticised by current and former colleagues, accusing her of causing confusion, publically berating staff members, and having no clear strategy or clear vision. Mr Ӧrås will assume the position of acting CEO until a new appointment can be made.
