Sweden — Cautious optimism in the labour market

According to the latest data published today by the Public Employment Service (Arbetsformedlingen) the number of new job offers registered with the Employment Service in April 2010 amounted to 48,000. This is +14,000 more than in the same month of last year.

The industries which now require new employees are the financial and professional service sectors, retail, transport and the health and social care sectors.


10,034 job seekers made use of the Public Employment Service's professional job coaches in April 2010 whilst 23,368 job seekers used private job coaches.
