Spain – Adecco – two Spaniards win job contest

03 July 2013

Two Spanish applicants have been chosen to participate in the Adecco recruitment campaign ‘Around the world in 80 jobs’. Nine young people from all over the world will visit countries on five continents, having the opportunity to try 10 different jobs each.

The ‘Around the world in 80 jobs’ competition gives the winners the chance to experience different work environments first-hand and become immersed in new cultures.

Among those selected are two Spaniards. Amelia Bueno, from Caceres, and Miguel Romo, from Burgos will start their adventure during the summer months. This is an opportunity for both to step back into employment, as both were unemployed before being selected for the project. Both Miguel and Amelia say being selected has been a great surprise.

"After finishing my career, my job was to look for work and stay abreast of all the opportunities that may arise," said Ms Bueno. "It was amazing. I have never experienced anything like this, so I have great expectations for this trip, I plan enjoy every second of the trip and when finished, hope to have learned something new to help me in my future.”
