The Adecco Foundation and Endesa, Spain’s largest electric utility company, are offering five scholarships for the 2013-2014 course for students with disabilities at the University of Sevilla.
According to Endesa, each scholarship will be worth a maximum of EUR 1,000, which will help to extend and enhance the chances of the integration employment of people with disabilities. The company states "people with disabilities remain underrepresented in the field of engineering and the project aims to remedy this situation."
Jose Antonio Payán, coordinator of the Adecco Foundation in Seville states that the aim of this initiative is to boost the development of policies for managing diversity in Seville companies, normalizing disability and demonstrating that such workers are equally competitive and productive.
The selection of candidates will be done according to criteria such as interest, motivation and academic record. The deadline for applications is the 17th January. Further details of the scheme, can be viewed here.
