Spain — 93.2% would improve their qualifications if faced with unemployment

New research carried out by Adecco Training (Spain) among 500 employees reveals that 93.2% of interviewees would undergo professional training should they lose their jobs.

36.6% would go for specific professional training, 26% would either learn a new language or improve their current language capabilities, 22.8% would do a Master degree, 9.8% would improve their IT skills and 4.9% would try to embark on an academic career.

52.3% of interviewees said that the professional training they have undergone so far had a direct impact on their careers. 29.5% said that their professional training had some impact. 18.2%, however, believe that their professional training so far has had no impact whatsoever on their career.

65.9% of interviewees would go for the same academic qualifications and professional training if they could start all over again.

34.1% said that they regret their choice of university degree or professional training and would with hindsight have studied a different subject or followed different professional training courses.
