Scotland – Recruitment gap bridged by The SmartList

Media group Johnston Press has announced the launch of The SmartList Scotland, a fixed price online recruitment service providing a short list of quality, pre-screened candidates for interview.

Stephen Anderson, General Manager of The SmartList said: “Currently, Scottish employers have to choose between traditional advertising and recruitment consultancies with no alternative. The success that we’ve enjoyed proves that there is a real need for this type of solution in the recruitment market place.”

Businesses submit their job details to The SmartList team for one fixed price. The team use their national resources, local papers, jobs boards and social media to identify candidates. The candidates are pre-screened by The SmartList team, before a final list is submitted to the prospective employer.

The service is being launched in association with television channel STV, which will provide media and promotional support. A multi-media campaign will promote the service, reaching over 4 million viewers per month. Newspaper and online advertising campaigns will appear in all Johnston Press titles, including the Scotsman, the Edinburgh Evening News, and the Scotland on Sunday.
