Russian staffing agency Ancor Group, market leader in the country, has formally announced entering into an agreement with Randstad. The strategic business alliance was signed at Randstad’s headquarters in Amsterdam.
Ancor is the largest recruitment firm in Russia based on revenue, according to research by Staffing Industry Analysts on the Russian recruitment market.
Ancor said that it is now Randstad’s “exclusive partner” in the CIS countries with both companies preserving their autonomy.
“The need for HR services is growing in [the region],” said Ancor. It said the agreement will give Randstad a competitive advantage without having an “actual output” in the country. Ancor will benefit from the agreement by being able to offer its services through Randstad’s network worldwide.
“An alliance with a global player like Randstad has a strategic importance for us,” said Sergey Salikov, general manager at Ancor. He said the agreement will take his business to a “new level.”
Randstad acknowledged forming an alliance with the group last week when reporting its Q3 results but did not detail further information on the agreement. The world’s second-largest recruiter has also recently teamed up with Adcorp in South Africa and Barona in Finland to increase its market reach.
