The Recruitment and Employment Confederation of the United Kingdom (REC) will hold a new Business Law Course for recruiters at different locations in July and August this year.
“The Employment Tribunals Service has just published figures showing a 30% year on year increase in claims while the Employment Agencies Standards Inspectorate has even wider enforcement powers, which include allowing prosecutions against Recruitment Companies to be heard in the Crown Court with the higher fines they can imposeâ€VbCrLf says Fiona Coombe, the REC’s Director of Professional Services.
The new course will cover subjects such as conduct regulation, data protection, discrimination, rights of temporary workers, protecting the business through employment policies, managing staff through sickness and poor performance and supplying Limited Company contractors.
One of the key aspects of the REC’s “Serious about Standardsâ€VbCrLf campaign is to make Recruitment Companies aware of the need to be fully compliant with legal issues.
