The association of temporary employment agencies (APESPE) in Portugal has appointed a new president with Joaquim Adegas now heading the organisation. This follows the departure of his predecessor Marcelino Pena Costa after 25 years of service.
Mr Adegas has a degree in corporate communication science and is also the sole director of the temporary staffing agency SPT where he has held his position since November 2005.
APESPE is a member of the International Confederation of Private Employment Agencies (CIETT). The staffing association represents around 80% of the market share in the Portuguese temporary staffing industry through its member firms.
