Portugal — Multipessoal's temporary employment revenues up by 43%

Staffing agency Grupo Multipessoal, which is owned by Grupo Espirito Santo, has announced results for the year ended 31 December 2009.

Revenues were up by +11% from 48.9 million Euro in 2008 to 54.5 million Euro in 2009. Revenues at Multipessoal's temporary employment arm grew by +43% compared to 2008. The group found 9,500 jobs in total for job seekers during the course of 2009.

Multipessoal's President, Afonso Batista, said "we prepared ourselves for a very difficult year 2009. The good results show that our strategy was correct. We are investing in new business areas, we are expanding both in Portugal and abroad and we have recruited new personnel in order to expand the competence level of our staff. We intend to continue this strategy in 2010."

In 2010 the agency intends to grow by 21% by opening more offices in Portugal, entering new industry sectors and by expanding their operations in Angola and Cape Verde.
