ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN) will acquire Norwegian staffing company Workshop Holding AS from private equity firm Borea Opportunity for an undisclosed sum. Workshop owns construction recruiter Workshop Bemanning og Kompetanse AS and the deal will increase Manpower’s market share in this industry sector.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in April. Combining the two firms will also increase the number of Manpower associates on assignment daily in Norway to approximately 7,000.
“This acquisition will further strengthen our company's Manpower staffing business, and therefore its ability to provide the agility and flexibility required to drive business success for our clients,” said Hans Leentjes, who heads ManpowerGroup’s Northern European operations.
ManpowerGroup is among the market leaders in Norway after Adecco, according to research by Staffing Industry Analysts.
