The shrinkage of the staffing industry has continued in November according to data from the Dutch association of employment agencies (ABU) published on Thursday.
The employment of temporary workers in hours fell in the period from 5th November to 2nd December (period 12 -week 45-48) by 4% compared with a year earlier and sales decreased by 3%. This period had an equal number of working days compared to the same period last year, so there is no correction.
- For the medical sector, the number of hours fell by 23% and sales fell by 21%.
- The administrative sector fell by 2% in hours, and turnover has decreased by 1%.
- The hours in the industrial sector showed a decrease of 5% compared to the same period last year, sales fell by 4%.
- The number of hours in the technical sector decreased by 6% compared to the same period last year, sales fell by 4%.
