In weeks 5 to 8, the total number of temporary hours decreased by -5% and turnover decreased by -3% according to the latest Flex & Figures report from ABU. The period had an equal amount of workable days compared to the same period last year, so no adjustment was applied.
For the medical sector, the amount of hours showed a decrease of -16% and turnover decreased by -13%.
The administrative sector decreased -1% in hours, while turnover increased +1% compared to the same period last year.
Hours in the industrial sector decreased -7% and turnover showed a decrease of -6%.
The the amount of worked hours in the technical sector decreased -6% and turnover decreased -4% compared to the same period last year.
The figures appear to confirm the worsening economic climate in the Netherlands. A recent survey of entrepreneurs reported by ABU showed that most are negative about revenue growth for the first quarter of 2012 and they also expected a 11% a decrease in staff.
