28 May 2010

The latest Economic Monitor published today by Statistics Netherlands (CBS), shows that the number of hours worked by temporary employees in the first quarter of 2010 fell by -1% when compared to the previous quarter.

The number of hours worked by temporary employees in the Netherlands has been in decline for nearly two years but the rate of decline is slowing down.

The latest survey on business services conducted by Statistics Netherlands indicates that the mood among temporary employment agencies has lifted lately and temporary employment agencies are beginning to be moderately optimistic about future developments of revenues, temporary employment and the economic climate in general.
