Netherlands — Salary increase agreed via collective bargaining

04 June 2010

The Dutch Association of Temporary Employment Agencies (ABU) has agreed an increase in salary for temporary employees in the Netherlands following the traditional annual collective bargaining process with the relevant unions.

From 5 July 2010 temporary employees will receive a +1% increase in pay to be followed by a further increase of +0.5% in January 2011.

Compliance will be policed by the Foundation for Compliance with Collective Agreements for Temporary Employees (SNCU).

ABU represents more than 370 staffing agencies who employ approximately 730,000 temporary employees and fill 1.3 million vacancies per annum.
